I've worked on three implementations of the TCP/IP stack. Learned the hard way to only release solid software (I do not like 2am phone calls). I've read and written enough concurrent and networking code that I can usually get a good idea of what's wrong from a problem report even when I can't see the code - my ACE customers love this. I enjoy fixing problems at least as much as building new things so I tend to stick with projects and continually improve them. I've co-authored three books, learning the importance of precise language and clear explanations in both code and prose. Writing architectural documents, drawing diagrams, or drafting product documentation, it's important to communicate clearly and concisely. When I'm not working I'm usually hanging out with my wife, reading, or doing something outside. I'm not the greatest conversationalist but I honestly do enjoy talking with people.
