Steve Dowling Email & Phone Number | Following a career in Senior Leadership in secondary schools, I worked in Higher Education in Initial Teacher Training and am involved with the teaching, mentoring and coaching of PGCE and School Direct trainee teachers. I also undertake Final Assessments for Qualified Teacher Status and have contributed to the University based taught ITT programme. My professional goal was to deliver high quality support to the school based training of secondary school teachers, so enhancing the quality of education, curriculum provision and teaching in schools now and into the future. I qualified as a PE Teacher and retain a keen interest in all aspects of sport and outdoor education. I played representative cricket and also rugby for Saracens and Hertfordshire and latterly had ongoing experience in club, county and national level rugby coaching. I have coached Senior County Rugby for Hertfordshire and between 1990 and 1994 had the privilege of coaching the Women's England Rugby Team during their successful World Cup campaigns.
