A thorough and detailed understanding of the muscular and nervous system allows myself to achieve fantastic results with patients. Through a holistic approach, I strive to do more than just providing exceptional symptom relief; I identify root causative factors and then effectively communicates this to you to ensure you understand your contribution to better long-term health. In my treatment room I will use a variety of methods for assessment include postural evaluation, orthopaedic, neurological and functional testing, accompanied by a thorough palpatory exploration of spinal and peripheral joint play as well as the contractile state of specific muscles and their associated myofascial trigger points. Among my array of hands on soft-tissue techniques, I find the use of dry needling, where indicated, very beneficial for patients. Dry needling involves the use of fine needles being placed into areas of contracted muscle fibres that contribute to pain production. With dry needling I finds great results with this technique especially in patients with acute pain. I also utilises the exercise rehab gym for injury prescription and prevention exercise programs. I have a general interest in treating a broad range of musculoskeletal complaints, including neck and back pain, tension headaches, and occupational and sporting injuries. Since opening my own practice in 2018 I work collaboration with a physiotherapist. You do not require a referral to make an appointment. In 2018 I also took on the challenge and became the President of Myotherapy Association of Australia and is a big advocate for the industry to where it going and educating patients about Myotherapy.
