Because of my long-time interest and passion for mathematics and problem solving, I decided to study these two majors. I feel that I can use my current strengths and the skills that I will develop through this business program to lead me down a path of success. I am a huge sports fan and spend lots of time looking at numbers and statistics associated with teams and players, so that has also played a role in my choice of studies. By taking courses for both Accounting and BSA, I am working toward reaching the 150 credits required for the CPA exam by the time I graduate. Those who know me and who have interacted with me would describe me as reliable and collaborative. Working for my parish rectory, Maternity B.V.M., has provided me with communication skills through collaboration with staff, clergy, and funeral directors and given me some experience in counting money for collections after masses. My experience in scouting over the years has helped me to develop many of the qualities that define me today. I was voted by my peers to act as a patrol leader in my troop, where I was held responsible for not only myself, but for the rest of the troop at all times. After 10 years of hard-work and dedication, I eventually earned the rank of Eagle, the highest rank in scouting.
