I am currently working as a Senior Lecturer in Police Studies at the University of Chester I was the Programme Development Lead for the Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship (PCDA), which commenced in September 2019 at the University of Chester. Since then I have designed and planned the implementation of the DHEP programme for Cheshire Constabulary/University of Chester, as part of the Police Education Qualifications Framework by the College of Policing. I am now the Programme Leader for the DHEP, which commences in November 2022. I previously volunteered for Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire Stop and Search Scrutiny Panels, as well as previously volunteering as a Police Cadet Leader for Hertford Police Cadets. Furthermore, I have previously volunteered as an Independent Custody Visitor for Northamptonshire Police Authority (now PCC Office), checking on the conditions in which a detainee is held, their health and well-being and that they are receiving their legal rights and entitlements, with reference to PACE, PACE Codes of Practice and the requirements laid down by the Home Office.
