Stephanie Fundazuri Email & Phone Number | Throughout my career in accounting, I have loved being the bridge between a company’s individual financial transactions and the deeper understanding of the company’s financial health. On any given day as an internal accountant, I might touch a hundred different processes, including reconciliations, property tracking, reporting, AP/AR, analyzing financial statements, and journal entries, and I really enjoy that variety. However, what really sets me apart from other accountants is how I tie those individual transactions to the overall financial health of the organization. I am able to manage the full portfolio of accounting and financial tasks. My expertise includes financial analysis, month/year-end close, financial report preparation, invoicing, and journal entries. Besides the traditional Microsoft Office applications, I can use QuickBooks or JAMIS to maintain financial records. While I am detail-oriented and great at problem-solving and decision-making, my skills expand beyond an accountant’s “traditional” competencies to include terrific writing skills. I can speak, read, and write effectively in English and Spanish. Accountants write reports, present to executives, and share information with cross-functional teams, so we need to be great communicators! As I moved into senior-level roles, I embraced the responsibility of overseeing, coaching, and mentoring junior team members. People management is something I’m excited about. I like to guide others in meeting their goals and learning new things as we work together to achieve our team objectives. I excel at breaking down complex concepts into chunks to help less experienced professionals understand processes and the “why.” In leading others, I realized that everyone learns differently; sometimes, a trainee grasps a concept immediately, while the next team member might need more individual coaching. Above all, I learned that teaching others deepens my own understanding of our fascinating field.
