All our work is based on ITIL principles.o BSS / OSS Systems Analysis and Design o AS-IS analysis of the BSS/OSS platform o Leading the project team of IN, BSS, Radio and Core Network engineers in the assigned country o Enterprise applications design, dimensioning and implementation o Systems analysis of business systems o Implementation of POS, Warehouse systems, CRM and billing systems and Contact Center systems and dimensioning of the same o Implementing business processes within the assigned client o Drawing up systems test cases o UAT, PAT and SIT at assigned clients o User training – call center and products and services training for the same. Systems Worked On o Pecas ERP o SQL / Linux Servers Responsibilities: o Responsible for management and staff supervision of the IT department o Budget formulation and control for the I.T Department o Maintaining the SQL Server 2000 database o Project Management right from feasibility studies to implementation o Customer Relationship Management (both internal and external) o Implementation of a robust and secure LAN infrastructure for organization based on a Linux / Windows Platform • Administering the PECAS ERP system based on Progress DB and Sco Unix platforms  Ensuring production processes are in place  Managing end-to-end change function (including patches)  Responsible for contingency, tests and audit activities to the ERP application o Implementation of ShopAssist retail software on 4 branches o I.T tenders’ preparation and selection and procurement o Maintain all I.T assets and infrastructure in an operational state  Ensures that all assets are serviced as per SLA. Systems worked on CSG (Kenan) Billing System Oracle Database Linux Operating System Responsibilities: o Responsible for system design, system analysis and administration of the billing system o Business Analysis of user requirements and documenting the same o Gap analysis and arranging and participating in JAD meetings o Development of functional designs of the proposed systems o Translating user requirements into technical specifications o Implementing, enhancing and supporting management information systems which include Belina Payroll, Pastel Accounting and CSG Kenan Billing system o Database modeling and design of in-house developed systems. o Administering Windows 2000 server and MS Exchange server 2000 (ISA, Active directory) o Redesigned the Fleet Management written in Visual Basic 6.0 and running on SQL server 2000 database o Backup and restoration duties o Desktop trouble shooting and user training. o Systems development in Visual Basic, MS-Access and Informix-4gl o Unix / Oracle administration o CDR Loading and Analysis o Billing Systems Support o Bill Run Reports Generation o User Training on Billing Systems. o Database modelling and drawing / documenting functional processes using ERD diagrams o Systems development in Visual Basic, MS-Access and Informix-4gl o Unix / Oracle administration o Baan IV manufacturing ERP system support o Cyborg Human Resources and Payroll systems administration o Creation of Cubes using Cognos business intelligence o Systems documentation o PC, user and desktop support and training o Performing back up duties o Generation of reports. o Managing Technical implementations of Billing, IN, Call Centers, IN and VAS Projects in multiple telco companies in SADC region o Work with Billing / CRM / ERP vendors to successfully implement the same projects. These includes: Huawei, ZTE, Tecnotree, VAS-X, SAGE, SAP, Ericsson, Comverse o Leading a team of BSS/OSS to deliver the above projects o Weekly and Monthly Project Communication to EXCO (CEO, CTO, CCO, CFO) members o Supporting monthly Bill Runs, Prepaid Revenue Usage and Leakage Analysis and Reporting o Business Requirements, Tender Drafting, Evaluation, Contract Negotiation and Award o Business Analysis and Processes Review – this entails reviewing existing ICT business processes for core billing functions and systems, inter alia, Billing, Provisioning, CRM, Enterprise Service Bus, Data Warehousing, Product Management, Sales and Marketing, Call Center Systems, Point of Sale Systems, VAS Platforms o CRM / POS / Contact Center / ERP and Billing (Prepaid/Post Paid) Systems Implementation and Post Implementation Support o Systems Testing (UATs, PATs, IOTs), tools, methodologies, strategy o Systems Integration Development – this relates to ESB implementation, various technologies, IBM/Oracle. Designing IT Architectures for Telco environments. o System Integration to GSM/CDMA/WCDMA/WiMax/LTE Core Networks. This involves a lot of interfaces development using JAVA, Web services predominantly and specialized Telco tools o Solutions deployment after testing and managing change requests mainly post launch o ICT Roadmaps drafting and implementation for Telecommunications Companies. o Supporting a number of niche financial market applications which includes Hermes (Core trading system) and a range of external applications: Talaria, Switches, Warrants and Baskets, HermesDATA o Acting as the primary contact for clients / dealers problems and supporting the same using remote methods, telephone /email and onsite visits This is to ensure 100% uptime always o Responsible for recommending infrastructure solutions for new projects, e.g. servers o Managing, building and maintaining relationships within an allocated client portfolio by being responsible for: • New and upgraded software installation at clients’ sites • Regular client training on the software deployed • Troubleshooting of software, network and related issues • Interaction with development, QA and other departments with regard to getting issues resolved and solutions rolled out • Regular feedback to clients on outstanding issues, new initiatives and other relevant information • Managing the change control function when implementing new products or versions o SQL Server 2000 /2005 administration, which includes backup/restore, maintenance and general querying o Ensuring that clients’ SQL server platforms are properly licensed o SQL queries development including Triggers and Stored Procedures o Participating in new project implementations and managing certain project portfolios o Training new dealers or existing dealers on new product versions. o Documentation of systems and maintaining the same o Assisting allocated client portfolio with regards to.
