  Stacey Vial is a I originally trained at LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, having finished my residency in 2005 just before Hurricane Katrina. I had been accepted as a Nephrology fellow at LSU, but fate intervened, and instead my husband and I spent the next year rebuilding our flooded house. Our home restored, I was ready to re-enter the world of medicine and decided to become a Primary Care physician, and I have truly found my calling as such. I have been in practice at one of the local satellite clinics associated with Ochsner Hospital for the last eight years. Currently, I manage a base of 2400 patients with hospitalist support. I have also taken on voluntary teaching duties, staffing a resident clinic once a week and hosting medical students as part of our cooperative program with the University of Queensland in Australia. Over these years, I have developed a close working relationship with the many nurses, medical assistants, and phone staff who make up our team, as well as a number of valuable professional relationships with my physician colleagues. Most importantly though, I truly love being a part of the lives of all the patients I have had the pleasure of helping thus far. Though I would be fulfilled by continuing at my current position, my husband has found his passion in copyright law and has been offered a position in the Arlington area. In his field, he could never hope to find that kind of opportunity locally, so I find myself looking for a new medical home in the Arlington area. I am so excited for us to start the next chapter of our lives there. I will be leaving my current position May 29, 2015, and we will be moving to Arlington shortly thereafter.
