Sosheel Godfrey Email & Phone Number | Currently, I am working as a Senior Lecturer/Assistant Professor at the School of Agricultural, Environmental and Veterinary Sciences at Charles Sturt University (CSU) Wagga Wagga campus. I was awarded PhD at CSU in 2016. Before commencing doctoral studies, I worked for 11 years in the development sectors in the UK and Pakistan, of which six years were at the Japanese embassy and four years with the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR). As part of this experience, I have successfully managed large donor-funded projects and extensively collaborated with a range of stakeholders. I have also worked as an academic for ten years. My research, from a value chain perspective, spans from “farm to fork”. At the farm end, my research is focused on farm profitability, addressing business and financial risk in agriculture through the application of modern tools such as @RISK to model a range of farming systems. At the fork end, I study consumer behaviour using Conjoint Analysis and Max Diff methods to understand consumer preferences. I have documented these results in ten refereed journal publications, as catalogued in CSU Research Output (CRO). My research interests have attracted four students pursuing PhD studies. My research expertise has been recognised at the national level through collaboration within and outside CSU, having secured three competitive grants totalling AUD 1.3 million, including one as Chief Investigator with the SOIL CRC. At the international level, I am collaborating with research teams from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU), UK’s Harper Adams University and COMSATS University in Pakistan.
