Soroosh Naghdy Email & Phone Number | I have a master in Metal Forming and a Ph.D. in Materials Engineering from Sharif University of Technology (SUT, IRAN) and Ghent University (Belgium), respectively. My field of interest is deformation of metals at both high and low temperature regimes. A great deal of my research has focused on the formation of texture and microstructure. In this respect, I am very well acquainted with different characterization techniques such as SEM, 2D/3D EBSD, TKD, TEM and XRD methods. Additionally, I have made use of different state-of-the-art polycrystal models, and upgraded them in order to predict the texture evolution and the grain refinement phenomenon during deformation. I have also comprehensive industrial experience on the design of deformation routes for steel grades with a low hot workability. Through combination of an appropriate heat treatment process and deformation optimization, a minimum percentage of material loss was aimed for.
