I’m also the host of Beyond Shodh, a podcast that celebrates the research, innovations, and startups in the field of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). I have a Ph.D. in Plant Molecular Biology from the University of Delhi and an M.Sc. in Biochemistry from CCS Haryana Agricultural University. I have over 10 years of experience in plant molecular biology and bioinformatics, working on projects related to plant genomics, epigenomics, transcriptomics, miRNomics, degradomics, phenomics, biocuration, database development, and bioinformatics. Currently, I am working as a Scientist at the Indian Biological Data Centre, Regional Centre for Biotechnology, where I am involved in the development of databases and portals to enable biological data submission, digitization, and analysis. Previously, I worked as a Research Associate at the National Institute of Plant Genome Research (NIPGR), where I investigated the molecular regulatory networks governing the heat stress response of contrasting tomato cultivars through comparative genomics. I have published several papers in reputed journals and presented at national and international conferences. I have also received awards and fellowships for my research work. I have expertise in handling basic to specialized molecular biology techniques, analyzing different types of NGS data, designing, optimizing, and validating NGS-based assays, meta-data analysis, and scientific writing and manuscript preparation. I have also mentored several Ph.D. and M.Sc. students and supervised their research projects. As a podcast host, I love to share inspirational and exciting STEM stories with my listeners through the eyes of experts, scientists, innovators, and researchers. My goal is to spark curiosity and passion for STEM among my audience and encourage them to pursue their dreams and aspirations.
