Prior to his current position, he served as the Head of Economic & Monetary Policy Department (2022-2023) and Bank Indonesia Institute (2016-2021). His current research focuses on macroeconomic transformation, central bank policy, and frontier issues in economic development, some of which have been published in international outlets, in the form of books and journal articles. With Dr. Perry Warjiyo, he wrote a leading reference book entitled "Central Bank Policy: Theory and Practice", published by Emerald Publishing - London (2019). He also represents Bank Indonesia’s membership in The SEACEN Advisory Group (SEAG) for Macroeconomic and Monetary Policy Management (MMPM) and teaches at the University of Indonesia’s graduate program in economics.
