My educational background is in Psychology, Human Rights and Conflict Management. While my working background is mostly related to innovation and technology, leadership and strategy, storytelling and communications. In the last two decades I have been hired by over 85 organisations and collaborated with double that number on various projects; from a delivery of a short talks up to co-founding and leading, and many activities in-between. Some examples include: Managing teams and budgets, developing and overseeing the implementation of strategies, experimentation in new business models or technologies, designing trainings and more. Some of the recognisable names I have worked with include: Amnesty International, United Nations, Netflix, Al-Jazeera and Heineken. I enjoy researching, listening, talking and being involved in a creative processes. This joy in learning has been my motivation to work in the private sector, academy, non-profit sector and the public sector. Those diverse experiences allows me to speak the different “languages” and understand the motivations, logic and cultures of many workplaces. I find this important as I can relate and be relatable when drafting my talks or designing workshops. Currently, I work as a freelancer delivering talks, trainings and consultations on various topics, including digital transformation, strategy, innovation, leadership, EDI, storytelling and more. My present clients and topics include: Amsterdam University of Applied Science on digital transformation and intercultural communications. With Free Press Unlimited, I consult them and provide trainings on EDI. I also work with Oxford HR where I interview potential leaders for various clients. As a volunteer, I’m Co-founder & Chair of Hummus Academy (decolonising cuisines), and a regional advisor for MENA, East Europe and Central Asia at Het ActieFonds (supporting activists financially). In addition, I'm a Board of Directors at 7amleh. My side projects include a Sunday School for Arabic speaking children and development of card games. My motto is - If you can't find it, found it.
