Sidsel Thestrup Email & Phone Number | Since 2020 I´ve had the pleasure of securing the critical path of operation and maintenance as a Critical Facility Engineer at the Meta (Facebook) Data Center Campus in Odense. Shifting from a role as Senior MEP Construction Manager during the construction of the Data Center itself. As Senior MEP Construction Manager I´ve been a major part of an amazing journey in delivering a 1 Billion, 90 MW Hyper-scale Data Centre with a yearly Waste Heat Recovery of 165.000 kWh supplying approx. 11.000 local danish homes. I was leas responsible for the Water Treatment Systems involved in design, construction management, QA/QC and Commissioning, delivering to Level 4 commissioning and FOK/IST. This was greatly accomplished as a team effort consisting of great colleagues, through well established relationships with vendors and specialists in a great working relationship and support from the Client. Here after I continued as the Tier 1 Project Manager for the Electrical GC on day 2-works, retrofits and Special Projects. I’m a Marine Engineer with solid technical experience and have enjoyed almost 15 years in the maritime industry sailing as 1. Engineer, Chief and travelling as Superintendent Engineer running the engine department on ships, carrying out major overhauls and retrofits of gensets on Ships and Power Stations. I´ve mastered different positions and achieved a diverse variety of skills in fast paced– and changing environments. My wide experiences gives me the knowledge to quickly obtain an overview of complex technical systems and can analyze the dependence of systems and foresee risks before they occur. This gives me a very valuable advantage in the design phase and also during inspection walkdowns. To me, technology is not complex, it's just new knowledge I dig into. I’m a Project Manager and a “fixer” at heart as I can very quickly obtain an understanding of different trades, coordinate many tasks and can influence without authority while operating cross-functionally to get us successfully over the line and meet deadlines. Every day is a challenge to maintain overall insight whether it´s in construction/retrofits, operating and supporting critical facilities factors like safety, costs, quality, program, people opinions, specialists knowledge, planning, access, training, and post covid-19 awareness all play in successful delivery– failure lies in the detail
