Shyamal Bej is a I am a chemical engineering PhD (after two undergraduates in chemistry and chemical engineering) with about 32 years of experience in fundamentals of catalysis and reaction pathways analysis, novel catalyst development, value addition to chemical intermediates, process development and scale-up, pilot plant design and operation, support to technology commercialization and trouble shooting in commercial plants. Currently, I am working in the area of reducing carbon foot prints of chemicals and fuels through developing, derisking and commercializing novel decarbonization technologies such as biomass conversion and waste plastic recirculation. I always welcome new challenges and try to find opportunities in the challenges to apply my acquired multidisciplinary academic knowledge, wide industrial experience, leadership skills for successful process development, scale up, commercialization, and industrial problem solution.
