The service is provided across a multi site complex with specialist services being provided to the majority of NHS trust’s within the region. With more than 30 years microbiology experience covering microbiology and molecular sciences, I have a track record of delivering innovative and high quality service improvements across microbiology particularly responding to new developments and changing requirements . I have extensive experience as Quality manager, Clinical Governance Lead and UKAS (CPA ) assessor understanding the importance of meeting the standards of a rigorous quality management system. I have developed close working relationships with UKAS (CPA), HSE , CQC and HFEA throughout my career. I believe that a strong quality culture is central to the provision of a high quality compliant service, processes are normally to blame not people and by working with staff and stakeholders to eliminate activities which do not add value one can create an environment which sustains a highly motivated workforce , a high quality service will drive compliance , maximum efficiencies and cost effectiveness .
