In 2013, I began as an Optical Engineering major, but briefly switched to Information Technology in 2016. Life has happened, and I suffered a few losses in the time since, but I decided to take step back to realize what I really want in life. Of course I want to be successful, but according to whose standards? Success for me is not being asked to lower my integrity in an attempt to please others, finding happiness in my life's path, happily waking up on a Monday morning because I pursued what I love. I can go on, maybe write a research paper. For the past few years, I have worked in jobs geared towards providing amazing customer service. I've always enjoyed meeting new people and building relationships, so I find myself jumping at most opportunities to do so. My outgoing personality allows me to interact with all personality types. Rather sit back, I choose to be the smile that brightens someone's day, and the compliment that touches their heart. I believe everyone wears this invisible sign that says "make me feel important." In my spare time, I enjoy networking, volunteering, attending community events, and travelling. In the past few years, I found myself volunteering at numerous STEM related events, it brought much joy to me. I've had the pleasure of serving as Vice President of Norfolk State University's IEEE chapter, as well as, participating in the UAV club on campus. I remain optimistic in spite of.
