  Shawna Weaver is a Sustainable, equitable, just community development is my passion. I engage with community through nonprofit leadership in education. I believe in community over capitalism, and that education is a cornerstone of society. With this philosophy, I have lead teams in the humane education and sustainability education fields after beginning my career in counseling and school counseling. With this background I return to the Twin Ports in the midwest, where I grew up, to contribute at a time when the Twin Ports is in the midst of exciting transitions. I was a kid when I first fell in love with Lake Superior and found my passion for the environment. Now as a writer, public speaker, and educator, I love sharing ideas and engaging with people in intersectional justice efforts. I am inspired by human resilience, and I see the resilience of nature echoed in us, especially in the Twin Ports. Today I am focusing on community through music education with the MRC, environmental education with Waankam, healthy human development with CSS, and personal wellness with Inner Bliss. It's a dream for this "ADHD" teen to have found my professional niche in four different and complimentary roles, in my homeland where I can embrace my different skill sets to support our community. I appreciate my workplaces that embrace my writing, my many hats, and my radical perspective.
