Sharen Jacobs Email & Phone Number | The funding for my position at the Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks (RAP), originated from Federal Stimulus Funds ( American Recovery Act 2009) and was delivered to the Los Angeles Community Development Department (CDD), which transfered a portion of the 1.7 Million grant to RAP for hiring of temporary administrative personnel. The grant ended in September 2010. Since that time I have volunteered mornings at the CDD's Pacoima Family Source Center, in return for continued office experience and employment leads. I have been responsible for processing client applications for social services, such as utility, employment, food, medical, and education assistance. I am grateful to the Center's Director, Alex Morehead and Community Programt Specialist, Nora Carvajal, for their guidance and support. As we assist 100s of people every week, it gives me satisfaction to participate in efforts to make a real difference in the lives of so many citizens, while positioning myself for the next chapter of my career. Specialties: Organizational skills, mutiple/simultanious project initiation and management, excellent people skills, calm with high volume public events, team building, meeting dead lines, legal and promotional writing, strong cheerleading abilities.
