Shara Email & Phone Number | Currently I am an administrative office specialist for the Office of the Dean, in the College of Arts & Letters at Old Dominion University. Before being an administrative office specialist, I was the art director and designer of Monarch, Old Dominion University’s award-winning alumni magazine, as well as a photographer specializing in architectural and landscape photography. I have designed many of ODU’s promotional materials, such as the Arts@ODU brochure, Annual Literary Festival visuals, the Family Calendar, and many other ads, programs, departmental brochures, posters, postcards, magazines, and marketing collateral. I have also contributed photography to many of those pieces, as well as Monarch magazine. Before ODU, I was a graphic artist at PETA, a production artist at Brandon Advertising in Myrtle Beach, and a corporate communications specialist at Roadway Services headquarters in Akron, Ohio. I earned a B.A. in Speech Communications at ODU and first developed an interest in layout from working as a student writer, editor, and typesetter at the Mace & Crown. My work has won numerous national design awards, including Addy awards, Communicator awards, MarCom Creative awards, and American In-House Graphic Design USA awards. Additionally, my work has been published in Graphic Design USA magazine and displayed in international photo exhibitions.
