It was an over simplified answer, for a little girl, but in that moment I found my calling. After finishing my education I became a case manager and began working towards my license. A year and a half later, though, I looked into the face of my newborn daughter and realized that I needed to take a break from work to be a stay at home mom. After 14 years I went back to work as a vocational counselor while I worked toward my license. I earned my LPC and a certification as a clinical trauma specialist (CCTP). I specialize in treating trauma, anxiety depression, eating disorders, and self esteem difficulties. This is only the beginning for me. I intend to continue to study different modalities and mental health difficulties and help as many people as I can.
