Skills from experience include Matlab and Python programming, operation and alignment of optical equipment and lasers. Also included mathematics of diffraction analysis - Fraunhofer and Fresnel. I have also started learning to create simple applications using PyQt5. Before my decision to transition into Software engineering, I had the great opportunity to serve as an Associate Lecturer at UWRF for second semester physics covering topics in electromagnetism and as an Visiting Professor at MSUM teaching various courses in undergraduate physics. I also have 8 years of experience at the University of Arkansas-Fayetteville conducting experiments in diffraction, polarization, and phase modulation with higher order laser beam modes such as Hermite-Gauss, Laguerre-Gauss, and Ince-Gauss beam modes. This also includes 8 years of experience in teaching undergraduate physics ranging from physics for non-science majors to general physics to electromagnetism to upper division optics. Skills from experience include teaching, proctoring, grading and evaluation of student work, and tutoring as well. One of the most important ideas I learned from teaching is that it is very important to understand how students understand ideas and to teach by allowing self-discovery by students which usually improves the learning process.
