Scott has an academic ethic. He previously taught as an adjunct professor for the Master of Urban Design program at UNC Charlotte. Scott was the valedictorian of the College of Architecture and Planning at Ball State University, and he graduated first in his class from the University of Michigan with master’s degrees in both Urban Design and Urban Planning. Scott is a co-founder of the Open Streets 704 program and the Charlotte Placemaking Hub. He has been a part of award-winning project teams recognized by the American Planning Association and the Congress for New Urbanism. Most importantly, Scott commutes by bike to work every day.
