Born in northern California, raised and educated in Texas, Scott was introduced to the area in the 70’s by his grandparents who had a home in Snowmass Village. He began his professional career in the mid 90’s as a television news producer, reporter and anchor for ABC, NBC and FOX affiliates in Colorado, Alabama, North Carolina and Washington State. Yearning for more permanent, healthful and inspirational surroundings, Scott realized a life-long dream of living and working in the mountains by moving to the Roaring Fork Valley in 2002. Capitalizing on his strong interpersonal and organizational skills, Scott earned his real estate license in 2005, quickly becoming a respected broker and top producer. Recognized by RealTrends as one of America’s Best and ranked top 1% in the nation among his peers, Scott's clients return to him time and again for his valuable information and advice, tough, creative negotiation, and simply, consistently getting the job done. Scott is an expert in residential, commercial and investment opportunities in Aspen and the greater Roaring Fork Valley. He’s considered a local authority on Transferable Development Rights (TDRs) and writes a monthly real estate column for the Aspen Times called Deeded Interest. Scott is an Aspen Elk (BPOE #224) and a proud Eagle Scout. He is a former Board member of Blue Lake Preschool, is a former vice-chair of the Aspen Board of Realtors, has served as Realtor liaison to the Roaring Fork Conservancy, was one of the original members of Aspen Young Professionals Association, and has served two local HOAs as President. Scott has always been interested in the area’s rich history and loves helping his clients discover all the rewards of living, working and playing here in the heart of the Rockies! He considers himself lucky to have met his wife McLean, a Nurse Practitioner and owner of The Local’s Lab. Together they are parents to their beautiful son Bridger and two rescue dogs.
