Sasha Francis is a Creative and organized leader with a strong passion for public engagement, and 14 years of experience in environmental education, community programs, and pollution prevention outreach. Energetic team member with excellent communication skills and attention to detail. Focused on great staff collaboration, sharing knowledge, and inspiring people to make achievable changes for the environment. I have overseen a variety of community engagement, citizen science, water conservation, and pollution reduction programs. One such program, the Galveston Bay Report Card, was selected for a Gulf Guardian Award from EPA in 2021 for stewardship of the Gulf of Mexico ecosystem. I worked in wildlife care and conservation education for the first 12 years of my career. I had the honor of being President and Vice President of a volunteer-based non-profit that raises money for wildlife conservation through frequent fundraisers that I orchestrated. Our organization was awarded the 2016 Conservation Prize from SaveNature.org.
