Sarah was responsible for the administration, management, and maintenance of the Recreation Center parks, fields, pool, hiking/biking trails, and other recreation facilities within the community. She established philosophy, policies and long-range planning for the department, maintained budget and payroll, and employee reviews and records. She managed approximately 30 employees annually. Previous experience in nonprofit agencies honed Sarah’s ability to innovate within strict parameters set by budget, time, and personnel resources. Sarah has over a decade of experience with educational programming for youth and adults, including previous positions as the Adult Program Coordinator for Tredyffrin Public Library and as an elementary school teacher for the School District of Philadelphia. Sarah received a Bachelor’s degree in History with a concentration in Elementary Education from Muhlenberg College. She completed 45 credits towards a Masters in Library and Information Science. Sarah has hiked varied terrain in Southeast Asia, Southern Africa, Scandinavia, Western Europe, and the United States and loves mountain biking, remote camping, backcountry skiing, and snowshoeing.
