As part of this course I will also complete an internship with a local housing association. My particular interests are within homelessness, housing poverty and rural housing issues. For the past 4 years I have worked at the Scottish Association of Landlords (SAL) helping landlords and lettings agents by assisting with member enquiries, planning our annual conference and coordinating events, ensuring they get the most from their membership with us. The Scottish Association of Landlords (SAL) aims to improve standards in the Private Rented Sector by providing comprehensive advice, training and support for every aspect of letting property in Scotland. ► My previous experience in customer service, sales and administration are key to managing my varied role, from signing up new members to planning our annual conference, no two days are the same. ► I graduated from the University of Edinburgh and have since been working toward a role within events and housing, completing industry specific qualifications and training. My ever-increasing knowledge of the industry allows better understanding and communication with members. ► I was also a voluntary Social Media Coordinator and Event Volunteer for the Edinburgh network of Crohn’s & Colitis UK. This was an excellent opportunity to get involved in my local community with a cause close to my heart and involved organising social media posts on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, as well as the charity tent at the Edinburgh Marathon Festival. SAL is a national professional membership body which supports landlords and letting agents across Scotland. We have the only Scottish specific lettings helpline, downloadable member resources and templates, regular email updates, magazine subscription, events and training throughout the year around Scotland. We support those renting in Scotland ensuring best practice and compliance.
