A skilled communicator and creative thinker, Sarah is known for leading with authenticity and vulnerability and developing innovative revenue-generating programs and initiatives. For close to 20 years, Sarah has held leadership philanthropy and communications roles at YWCA and YMCA locations throughout North America and healthcare philanthropy at the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) Toronto, providing leadership to raising over 30 million while actively mentoring, encouraging, and advocating for her employees, colleagues, and those most vulnerable. Sarah is a dedicated volunteer and board member, providing capacity building, consulting, and strategic advice to nonprofits nationally and internationally. She has also volunteered in youth mental health services and young women’s leadership programs, worked to support local, women-owned businesses, and spent many years as a volunteer cheerleading coach. She has a Bachelor of Applied Arts/Professional Degree in Family Studies and Gerontology/English from Mount Saint Vincent University, a Digital Media certificate from NSCAD University and is a graduate of the Ivey League Business Schools Community Shift Program. Sarah is also known for her passionate advocacy for women, girls and gender-diverse people, and for her love of her two French bulldogs, Kombo and Odin.
