I am a Certified dialysis nurse and have experience in managing a home dialysis program, patient education of home dialysis and clinical coordinator for in-center dialysis. I am currently a Centralized Anemia Manager for over 1000 dialysis patients at 10+ dialysis clinics for DaVita Dialysis. I monitor laboratory results related to anemia in end stage renal disease and use an artificial intelligence system and paper protocols to ensure that the right dose of medication is delivered to individual patients. This involves interprofessional collaboration, communication with patients and clinics, updating the clinical system and documentation. I am very focused on holistic and patient centered care and continue to work one on one on a part time basis with dialysis patients and their families educating them on the home hemodialysis procedure. I also serve as a case manager for already established home dialysis patients. My career objective is to maximize potential through the education of new nurses and patients with a focus on nursing ethics and ethical care. My goal is to continue to educate patients, families and new nurses. I am drawn to ethical issues and philosophy in nursing and would love to be an adjunct faculty member for BSN students.
