She is also the founder and principal of Social Media for Animals, which is dedicated to supporting those who manage social media for animal shelters or rescues. She co-founded and helps run the Animal Shelter Social Media Facebook group, a community of more than 1000 individuals who manage social media at brick and mortar animal shelter or rescue facilities.
