Sara Weuffen Email & Phone Number | Dr. Sara Weuffen is a non-Indigenous teacher-researcher specialist with a PhD in educational research about conceptualisations of Australian History between non-Indigenous and First Nations perspectives in Australia. I have German, Scottish, and Welsh ancestry, grew up on Gundijtmara Country in Warrnambool, and currently live and work on Wadawurrung Country in Ballarat. My research focuses on identifying factors that illicit sustained enhancement of pedagogical practice, specifically within the secondary education space and discipline of History, for more relational and authentic education experiences. As a teacher with over twelve years experience in the Secondary and Tertiary sectors, I specialize in learning and content design for diverse cohorts across a broad range of platforms; online, blended, face-to-face, and discipline areas: First Nations studies, History, Inclusion and Diversity, Physical Education, Sociology, and Teaching and Learning. In all my work, I aim to critique dominant structures and ideologies, interrogate binary discourses, and push educational boundaries for emancipatory and success-orientated shared-learning outcomes and positive social progress.
