Santosh Harish is a My primary area of interest is air quality governance in India, and have approached this question from different perspectives over the last decade. As a researcher, I approached questions of state capacity and improved regulatory enforcement from an economics lens at JPAL and EPIC, and later at CPR, from an institutional lens. As a grant maker now, I still approach AQ primarily from a governance lens, but recognizing that there are multiple different theories of change that can plausibly lead to improvements in AQ in South Asia.
