In 2018 I had moved to EY Dubai Indirect tax practice, to provide VAT advisory services and setup and lead the compliance practice for VAT. Previous to which, i setup and led the EY GDS Indirect Tax team. Supporting the GCC VAT implementations in KSA and UAE and then the journey to VAT compliance. Excellent journey so far, seeing and facing the live transformations journey of the GCC clients/ businesses getting ready to be VAT compliant. Before, I worked as a Techno-functional consultant, and enjoyed being the interface between the clients and my various IT teams to design, develop and build digital assets for EY's internal and external consumption. Experience and knowledge gained in the past had its upper hand in the current job. It helped me efficiently lead my teams and projects, by imparting knowledge wherever needed and being the point of contact for queries from the clients and colleagues. I have been enjoying my career moves at EY. EY as a firm has got lots of opportunities to offer to the potential talent to move up and excel in their career aspirations. I have also had a great experience working with many of the exemplary leaders and follow their leadership styles.
