At the time of retirement, I was heading Emerging Solutions & e-Governance (ES&EG) and High Performance Computing – Scientific and Engineering Applications (HPC-S&EA) groups in Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), Pune. Earlier I had the additional responsibility of heading e-Governance groups for a few years. In addition to geo-informatics technology, ES&EG also focuses in the areas of AI based Image Processing. Prior to joining C-DAC, I worked at Bihar Remote Sensing Application Centre (BIRSAC), Patna for more than a decade. During my course of employment I have executed many projects of national and state importance in different capacities. Important application areas include disaster management, agriculture, sustainable development, natural resources mapping and management, forestry, and software development / customization. I was also involved in organizing training program in geo-informatics. After retirement, I joined Symbiosis Institute of Geoinformatics (SIG), Pune, as a visiting faculty for M.Sc. (Geoinformatics) batch 2020-2022 (Sem-III). During early 2000s I was leading business activity of the ES&EG group. I was successful in generating various business opportunities for the Group, including product, project and solution marketing. I played a key role towards the efficient, effective and successful completion of projects, leading to repeat orders and long-term association with clients. During the course of my professional career, I have provided substantive leadership and mentored teams working with me. I have also authored a number of technical papers in scientific journals, magazines and technical reports and have given presentations at numerous Conferences and Workshops. During my tenure as HoD, my teams have received various awards and accolades at the National level.
