Im originally from Helsinki, Finland but I moved to Stockholm, Sweden in 2015 to start my studies In The bachelors program in international relations. Once graduated I felt I would like to study something different for the master and found the Masters Program In Cultural Heritage studies from where I graduated in spring 2021 and now I am looking for work. Being an international, creative and artistic person possessing a wide skill set, I am looking for entry level jobs in museums, all kinds of cultural institutions, governmental and municipal authorities, non governmental organisations as well as private firms working with music, arts and culture. Cultural Heritage Studies at the University of Stockholm are mostly about cultural heritage then and now, its definitions through history, its management in different real life situations such as city planning, education, tourism, museum collections and during conflicts. Furthermore we touched some other subjects such as vintage and retro as cultural heritage, which led me to write the masters thesis on vintage and retro on social media platforms as a form of cultural heritage and historical reenactment. Studying the program and doing my internship during the Covid-19 pandemic also gave great insight on how museums and cultural organizations can digitally engage the public. I have previous work experience from customer service, social media management in an cultural institute, cultural research and leadership in a non-profit student association. In my free time I'm a semi-professional musician - Jazz guitarist focusing mainly on the music of the 1920s and 1930s. I have been working with several well known Swedish jazz musicians and have played lots of live shows. My most beloved hobby is also something I regularly connect to my academic background. Being an interpreter of a nearly 100-year old musical style that clearly needs to be found by younger musicians and audiences for it to live on , I'm passionate about working to find ways to evoke interest in the style among my generation. This kind of thinking played a big part in cultural heritage studies. How to transfer an art form from one generation to the next?
