I then moved to RSM UK to improve my knowledge of commercial audit and private business practices. In this role I have had the opportunity to work with a range of clients, from start up tech firms to international listed businesses. Working in audit has allowed me to develop a solid understanding of the business principles which guide small, medium, and large companies, as well as government bodies. I currently work in the Internal Audit team at SmartestEnergy UK. During this role I have developed a strong understanding of the energy sector, become a member of the Charted Institute of Internal Auditors, and I've been instrumental in re-launching the vision for the Internal Audit team, bringing this in line with recognised best practice guidelines. Alongside my work with the Internal Audit team I have also relaunched the Corporate Risk Register, which is now supported by Operational Risk Registers at department level. This project has required the coordination of every department in the company, and collaboration with colleagues from Operational team up to board level.
