Whilst studying, he was a student ambassador teaching undergraduate and school students, sharing his passion for design with the next generation. Whilst working at Nash Baker Architects he subsequently obtained his Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Practice in Architecture at the University of Westminster, London qualifying as a registered Architect with the UK’s Architects Registration Board in 2017. Having spent 5 years in West London working on bespoke residential and heritage projects with modest to high value budgets, he then immigrated to New Zealand joining Megan Edwards Architects in late 2020 and has since become an Architect member of New Zealand Institute of Architects. He enjoys working with clients to strive for design that is sensitive to context and heritage, whilst being thoughtfully shaped by how they wish to live. Along with his strong design acumen and enthusiasm for the technical aspects of construction and BIM, Sam has a keen eye for detail and great organisational skills. In his spare time, you’ll find him playing squash or exploring the countryside and coastline of Aotearoa New Zealand with his family. - Contributed as part of the OWL Architects team on an RIBA Suffolk 2013 Award winning project. - Awarded the 2015 University of Kent, Kent School of Architecture Artefact Award. - Contributed as part of the Megan Edwards Architects team on an NZIA Auckland Architecture 2023 Award winning project.
