I started in Red Deer Alberta as a fracturing field engineer and was then transferred to Nigeria to gain offshore experience before taking a technical engineering role to work directly with some of our major clients. I led a water injector well treatment project where I proposed and launched a groundbreaking new technology to solve client’s long standing issue with well injectivity drop. I designed and executed the treatment that resulted to excellent well performance leading to satisfied client and future opportunities. Furthermore, I led the sand control project from kickoff to execution. During this time, I was challenged to produce a greener treatment fluid to solve clients offshore fluid handling and waste management issues. After performing research and lab tests, I successfully developed a fluid recipe with greener chemical alternatives that allowed the fluid to be classified as non-toxic. This resulted in an increase in chemical revenue and a reduction in the client’s waste fluid handling cost.
