His role and journey as a CIO started in 2004 when he was appointed the first CIO of Dubai Holding responsible for the IT/business strategy alignment. With a team in excess of 150+ IT staff, he managed a far reaching organization providing ground breaking innovation on services technology through customer projects. His team pioneered the design and development of numerous and complex IT projects and initiatives, decentralized and centralized IT models, as well as creating much of the strategy and planning for the different Line of Businesses (LOBs) Solution efforts now deeply underway across more than 10 major key industries. Dr. Sabri was also responsible for some scientific researches assigned by the executive council of Dubai government. His broaden experience in the fields of networking, telecom, operating systems, software engineering, cyber security, and operation management allowed him to act as a scientific advisor and to take leadership on the assigned researches and classified projects.
