Not only have I lived past 18, but I have more than doubled it, and I'm still very healthy, defying the odds. I have lived far beyond what I was "supposed" to live, but allowed my disability to get in my way. I have a Ph.D. and a Master's degree and many other achievements. I thought I was doing all the right things, but it was never good enough for me. I still felt like something was missing, but I did not know how to fix it. I had to throw all my fears and worries away and take a gigantic leap of faith. I'm truly happy and feel complete for the first time in a long time.
