As a result of the emotional trauma she faced while growing up, she became a mental health advocate and with her current position as the NiMSA Technical Officer on Mental Health Advocacy, she leads a national team of 83 mental health advocates and also presently owns a YouTube Channel (Ruyina Eteng's Medic Diary) where she has a playlist dedicated to sharing her mental health journey, struggles and way out of such struggles. Her vision is to attain an optimal productivity in advocating for a better mental health awareness in medical students and a strong willed populace. She hopes to pursue a career in Plastic Surgery and eventually become a Professor of Surgery in the Western World after bagging her MBBS degree.
