While a Kmart Store Manager I received two 100% Customer Care/Cleanliness shops. While at Farm&Fleet I took the Mystery Shop score from a low of second worst in the company of 35 stores in 2004, to 9th place in 2010. In 2012 we improved to 4th best in the company. It's crucial to evaluate processes and explore ways to improve efficiencies without compromising quality. If that means I'm rolling up my sleeves and helping unload a truck, then that's where you'll find me. Over the years I have taken stores that were running inefficiently, implemented teams and systems to provide business solutions and increased operational efficiency. I've been recognized for developing and implementing systems to increase accountability and eliminate double work for associates as they restocked merchandise. Results like this aren't possible without a solid team and a healthy company culture. This is why I hold teamwork so high. Learning how to communicate, delegate, and compliment or support your team, will empower each member to achieve greatness. In turn, you will be providing an exceptional experience for your customers and lead to an improved bottom line. In addition to a focus on customer service and teamwork, another key aspect to having a successful business is thinking outside the box. You can't become complacent and expect people are always going to keep coming back to your store.
