Growing up in Iran, and traveling across its forests, mountains, and deserts with their unique landscape planted the seeds of love for nature very early in my heart. Since I remember, plants were everywhere, first, they were my toys, then my study subject, later research and art material, and always a source of inspiration. As a professional, I have let myself experience a breadth of plant sciences and explore working in the field as a field botanist, in a laboratory as a plant physiologist, and behind a monitor as a technical writer, as well as explore plant science in North America and the UK. Finishing my undergrad, I also noticed that leadership and management are always overlooked in higher education. To educate myself, I participated in workshops and courses on Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental management systems. Consequently, I developed a parallel second career in these Systems. Soon, I was promoted to the position of a management representative in quality Assurance office of a private calibration company. Although each scientist or a Ph.D. student becomes a project manager by experience, I learned this skill formally through a postgraduate degree.
