Roshni Beeharry is a I am a highly experienced and innovative educator and senior doctor, with 18 years experience in the NHS, specialising in Neurological Rehabilitation Medicine. I completed my MA Clinical Education, from Institute of Education, London,in 2013 and I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. I am a published poet writer, Writing for Wellbeing Facilitator, and in October 2020, I set up my small business,Storied Selves http://storiedselves.com/(please see linked Company page @Storied Selves),offering Writing for Wellbeing Workshops ,for the public,those in all sectors of the Caring Professions,including health and social care practitioners and those in training, and organisations. My particular academic interests include: -Reflective practice -Professional identity and development, -Interprofessional education -Mentoring and pastoral support of students and trainees including promoting self-care and wellbeing -Health Humanities and Arts in Health,in particular using creative writing in medical education. I have held leadership roles at local,regional and national level in my clinical career,including Project Manager of the National Training Programme mapping project, the British Society of Rehabilitation Medicine (BSRM 2011-2013). I am passionate about developing others, as well as developing myself, and thrive on the creativity an academic career confers. I actively combine my writing and educational skills in my education work, and I have created and delivered innovative Special Study Modules(SSM) in the UK and Ireland: -Creative Writing for Personal & Professional Development ,Trinity College Dublin School of Medicine,Ireland 2018 for Year 1 MBBS students and Brighton & Sussex Medical School,UK 2018 -2020 for Year 3 MBBS students - Disability after Brain Injury:a life of uncertainty' (Year 2 MBBS Lancaster Medical School,2020- 2022). I welcome Writing for Wellbeing workshop commissions from any organisation who wants to support its staff and students in holistic,creative ways,and have to date, completed several exciting commissions with NHS Trusts staff wellbeing events,Health Education England staff training events,BHS Practitioner Health and podcast media ,combining my varied education,clinical,writing and public engagement skills.
