I taught fiction writing through UCLA Extension Writing Program for fifteen years, teach at Writers College, and my own academy. I also edit people's writing with Book Butchers and on my own. I've taught writing twenty two years through a wider variety of schools, and I love doing it. As I've had a substantial non-fiction, poetry, Literary Fiction both avant-garde and straightforward, and a variety of types of Interstitial and Genre fiction published, my experience gives me insights in students' and client's needs. A couple hundred of my narratives appear in magazines and anthologies, such as Surreal South '09, Women Writing the Weird I and II, Strange Little Girls, Triangulation: Parch, Fiction International, Birkensnake, Camroc Press Review, Unlikely Stories. Publishers have put out my books, such as a Slipstream novella from ELJ Publishing. My series of psychological suspense novels is The Agents of the Nevermind. My latest novel is not in the series, is a New Adult: Floating on Secrets. My novels have won gold, silver, bronze and green medals. One was listed as one of the year's best Thrillers by BestThrillers.com, beating out Stephen King and many others of his ilk who were actively competing. I also wrote many articles for an entertainment newspaper in Olympia, WA, many essays for MindValley, and essays were often published in Medium.com magazines.
