Ron Lacoss Email & Phone Number | Ron LaCoss is a life-long educator who has worked in formal and informal settings to teach a range of ages about biology and the environment. Ron took a break from his teaching job in 2007 to begin a hike of the Appalachian Trail and return to school to pursue a graduate degree in environmental studies. At the University of Colorado he began research regarding communication and climate change. His main interest is investigating public concern about climate change and discovering the most effective means to frame the issue. Ron was awarded an NSF Fellowship at the University of Colorado and taught science part-time in Boulder County public schools. Currently Ron lives in Maryland just outside Washington, DC with his wife. He is looking for employment and plans to return to the classroom or work in some capacity in the field of climate change/environmental education. He continues doing volunteer work, enjoying the outdoors, reading Web-based resources on climate change and trying to find ways to reduce his carbon footprint.
