Rohan Rastogi Md Mph Email & Phone Number | I am an internal medicine physician committed to improving the health of underserved populations and strengthening the safety net healthcare system in the US. While completing my medical degree at Boston Medical Center, I was drawn to caring for a patient population comprised primarily of immigrants and people experiencing homelessness. The systemic inequities my patients faced prompted me to pursue an MPH in Health Policy at Harvard School of Public Health, during which I worked with the Massachusetts Health Connector, the state health insurance marketplace agency, to expand insurance access for immigrants. I subsequently served as the Public Health Policy and Clinical Fellow for the Massachusetts Department of Public Health Commissioner's Office, helping to address the e-cigarette/vaping-associated lung injury (EVALI) epidemic and COVID-19 pandemic. During residency at Bellevue Hospital, I piloted interventions to promote high-value care within NYC Health + Hospitals. As an NCSP fellow, I intend to investigate policies that would improve access to and quality of safety net care, engage with the SF community in conversations about health equity, and develop as a leader alongside my diverse peers and mentors. Outside of medicine, I enjoy biking, coffee, exploring the city, playing soccer, and hiking.
