Rod has over 30 years’ experience in conducting land reclamation and revegetation programs, undertaking soil surveys, formulating erosion and sediment control plans, preparing water management plans and assessing environmental impact of mining projects. Having fulfilled the roles of extension officer, regulator, consultant & contractor, Rod is in the unique position of having an intimate knowledge and understanding of the “soil & water industry” from all perspectives. Rod was engaged by the NSW Government to prepare the Mines & Quarries Chapter for Volume 2 of Managing Urban Stormwater: Soils & Construction (the “Blue Book”), the benchmark reference for erosion and sediment control and mine rehabilitation in NSW.
