Robert Walker Email & Phone Number | I have developed research skills collaborating in a range of relevant local and national mental health initiatives.I have designed and delivered awareness raising workshops to local employers.The topics includes Challenging Stigma,Mental Health First Aid Matters and Dept and Mental Health all from a Lived Experience Perspective.In recognition of my pioneering work Challenging Stigma and Discrimination I now hold the title of Fellow of the Institute of Mental Health in 2010. In relation to personal attributes I take a considerate and sensitive approach in client facing collaboration,coupled with a professional and business like approach. I am considered a great 'ideas' person and use my well developed networks effectively,service users benefited from my input into the planning for a social enterprise cafe. I helped to establish a forum for Carers and Users of Services to advise on,monitor and support the development of service user and carer involvement in social work education.I now collaborate with many Universities in Cheshire,Staffordshire and Merseyside.In recognition of these achievements I was made an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Accademy in 2012 and awarded Honorary Lecturer status by Liverpool John Moore's University. In June 2015 invited back to speak at The Royal College of Psyciatrists Congress,the presentation was 'Parity of Esteem from Rhetoric to Reality'. I was appointed to the Royal College of Psychiatrists Westminster Parliamentary Committee for Mental Health and regularly attend Parliamentary Outreach meetings. I consult on All Public Parliamentary Group meetings on sustainable housing Collaborating as I do with the Care Quality Commission i am passionate about driving up quality standards within health and social care particularly safe,effective,caring,responsive and well led service provision.As a result of my experience working with the Care Quality Commission the Royal College of Psychiatrists asked me to sit on their Leadership and Management Committee. I am a member of the North West Disabled Group and I am a member of the Cheshire and Merseyside Social Work Education Board.
