Robert Metzger is a Started my education with an Associate's Degree in Business Administration 2003, then earned a Bachelor's Degree in English in 2006. Not truly knowing a career path started as a Claim Adjuster for a healthcare insurance company and led to Title Researcher for a real estate law firm. Once the frontal lobe of the cerebrum fully developed, I returned to school to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing in 2014 and then a Master's Degree in Nursing in 2016. I became a Registered Nurse in 2014 and continued to work part-time in a long-term nursing facility while attending graduate school full time. I became a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in 2016 and have been working in the outpatient setting full time since then. With over five years of experience as an APRN, not only has the role of prescribing medications become a skill set that is constantly being honed with continued self-driven education; understanding the entire healthcare industry and landscape of medicine has inherently been acquired. The platform and floor that healthcare providers and multidisciplinary teams stand upon, is surrounded by insurance, pharmaceutical, and medical supply companies. The ceiling of healthcare is high and allows room for eclectic roles that traditional medicine did not incorporate in the past. The low ceiling, housing definitive, and ridged roles of healthcare professionals have changed. My career path embodies eclectic, diverse, and dynamic experience that healthcare providers can now explore, without being confined to the small space previously constraining career opportunities.
